- 1997-1998 – First Deputy Director of the Department of State Property and Privatization of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
- 1998-2000 – Deputy Director of the Treasury Department and Deputy Chairman of the Treasury Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
